Bangalore City


Bengaluru or Bangalore known as to the world. Bangalore city is the capital of Karnataka with the major IT Hub and Silicon Valley of India. Bangalore city is always know as Garden city due to beautiful gardens and parks in and around the city.

About Bengaluru City

Bengaluru is located in the southern part of Karnataka and the 3rd most populous city in the country. Bangalore has a very old history from 900 when it was called as "Kempe Gowda". Kempe Gowda is known as the person who has designed the city under the regime of Vijanagara Empire.

Bangalore today house the best software companies, industries in all sector located in all region of Bangalore. Today, Bengaluru plays a very important role in the IT, Bio and automotive industry of India and also the world.

Bangalore got it name changed to Bengaluru in 2006 with BBMP passing a resolution.

Climate :

Bengaluru is located in wet and dry climate. It is neither too hot nor too cold. A person once visiting the city will fall in love with the climate and would like to stay back. The average summer temperature is between 30-35 centigrade and winter is between 7-8centigrade with any time rains and thunderstorms.

Bengaluru is well connected to all kinds of modes of transport. Air, railways and road transport.

Airways in Bengaluru

Bengaluru has two airports in city. The current operated airport is Bengaluru International Airport for which there is plan to change it to Kempe Gowda International Airpot which was opened in 24th May 2008. HAL Airport is old airport which was in function before BIAL.

Railways in Bengaluru

Bangalore is well connected to all the major cities in the countries with the rail connect link. Bangalore city falls under South Western railways and has a total of 6 station due to vast area. The two major stations are Bangalore City Station and Yeshwanthpur Junction which connects to all parts of India.

Now the Bengaluru is moving one step ahead with NAMMA Metro with linking between the areas as local transport mode.

Road Connect in Bengaluru

KSRTC is main the road transport connecting to different states and cities in Karnataka with 7000+ buses running all over the state from the city.

BMTC (Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation) is local transport mode for Banglaore citizen to travel within the city. The BMTC transport provides in both normal buses, luxury and also Volvo AC buses.
