BBMP Election to be conducted by March 30

After all the happenings that is going on for the BBMP Election in Bengaluru city.  The high court has issued an order to conducted the election for all 198 wards in Bengaluru by March 30, 2010.

The order was issue by Karnataka High Court Justice V Gopala Gowda to conduct the election before March 30, without disturbing the academic and other examinations.  Now the Government is looking out for options on how to extend the deadline issue by the High Court, planning to move to Supreme Court for extension of BBMP Polls.

Karnataka Government in order to avoid the election are giving forward all kinds of excuses such as Colleges and school examination, 2011 Census, Summer, shortage of water, electricity and many other reason to move the date of election.

If the Supreme court sticks to the decision of the High Court to go with Election before March 30, then it going to be big challenges for the State election commission and BBMP, to pull up their socks and get the some of the vital thing in place.

1) Voter REgistration which is stopped needed to restarted.

2) Working on the election conduct

3) Mobilizing and assigning the people for the respective areas

Biggest challenges is bringing out the reservation list of wards.

More to come…..
