Lalbagh flower shows has started for this season from 19th Jan – 27th Jan open for public for this republic day.
Thousands of visitor come to this event with an imagination to see all kinds of flowers , decoration and rare species and some verities of flowers and trees for week long exhibition of flowers.
This year flower shows is showcased with a major attraction of Qutub Minar made out of 1 lakh flowers, mostly roses. It is 30ft structure and also lits up in the evening depicting the Qutub Minar of Delhi.
Cavery Mata or river goddess is another major attraction at this show with about 60,000 rose flower. Other attraction includes: Potted plants, cut flowers, vegetable carving flowers, art flowers, flora and fauna, bonsai and many other vegetables plants which are also at sale during the show.
This time we have about 480 exhibitors with 1500 varieties of orchids and 250 varieties of flowers from countries like Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Netherland. Also from Assam, Arunchal Pradesh, Sikkim and Nagaland to display the best plant which can be displayed at home.
Tickets are priced at Rs 30/- for adults on normal days and holidays and weekend it Rs. 40/- with children at 10/-. With ticket counter available on gates.
